Quatre mois à Paris

The funny thing about flying a 4pm flight from Boston to Paris is that a night comes and goes in a matter of hours. You see the sun set and then races around the world to meet you with a sun rise on the other side.

The first bit of french i needed it turned out was "were is the baggage claim". they did not have that one in the guide books. It is useful when traveling to Paris to know a person on your flight who is fluent in universal symbols. So they can point out a sign with a suit case and an arrow on it.

Applying for my visa took a lot of paper work and time. But customs on the other hand takes all of a split second, when coming into France. Just enough time for the man behind the window to glance at your pass port and stamp it.

Never ask a Parisian Driver a potently in depth question while the car is still moving. For example "what is your favorite part of the city?" It turns out almost every part of the city is a Parisians favorite and they will pull out a map, put it between them and the road, and then point out almost every inch of the city. The good news is Parisians seem to very lucky people when neglecting to look at the road for a long period of time. They only almost hit cars...bikes...people...side walks. Truthfully you will earn points when you give them a chance to show of their city. You may hover loss points with your shuttle mates when you in turn put their lives in danger.

Parisians favorite pass time is city watching and why not when you live in a city as beautiful as Paris. The best way to do this is to find a cafe and sit outside.
